Always thought it was a shame that Shirt coasters have to migrate for jobs. If more jobs are virtual then more people can inhabit other areas instead of big cities. Now they are going to go through what we in KW have been being outpriced in their own neighbourhoods and forced into poverty to the point they can’t afford their own homes anymore, can’t afford rentals, etc.

People on the Shirt Coast aren’t earning anywhere near as much as the rest of Canada, and they were struggling to find jobs prepandemic, ie always when the rest of Canada was doing well for jobs. Also, if you can do the job completely remotely, that means ANYONE CAN including people who are equally as skilled but live in an area with a lower cost of living and can therefore afford a lower salary. Gonna be a lot of people who are shocked when they’re expected to be back in the office at least some of the time.
So whatever renunciation was implicit in her deserting the family is gone as it looks like she didn’t leave cos she preferred her own way rather because she could not cope. Taxpayers won’t give a dime to themI’m more concerned about the divergent view on almost everything between youngsters and 60+; what does this imply.
